New Life Series 2011 Change The Way You Think

Romans 12:2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

In the previous entry, I shared that God wants you to live a New Life given by God but before you live a New Life you need to forsake the old life with new values from God. You need to renew every thing in your mind from the mind of God, the values given by God.

Joshua 1:8 This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success

If you want to prevent the theif (devil) to steal away your New Life, you gotto meditate on the Word so that you will be prosperous and successful (and it will last). Alot of people might not agree with this post about changing the way you think by meditating on the moral laws of God. But remember the Bible says that

2 Corinthians 3:3 clearly you are an epistle of Christ, ministered by us, written not with ink but by the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of flesh, that is, of the heart.

Matthew 5:28 But I say to you that whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.

So in the New Testament it is a higher expectation from God. The Holy Spirit will write the commandments in our hearts so that we will not sin against God. If we don't even know the commandments how do we know whether is it from the Holy Spirit as the Bible talks about testing the spirits.

1 John 4:1 Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world.

So what are the documented 10 Commandments of God?

In life we should never be satisfied at where we are but we should always constantly renew the Pillars of Our Life so that we will have a greater breakthrough in our life from glory to glory! Let's live the New Life!

New Life Series 2011: Pillars Of Life

John 10:10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.

My previous post talks about coming out of your old life, 3 years ago I've made a decision to come out of it as I felt like everything was like taken away from me. The New Life is a whole new mindset and path because the old is for self (or for the theif, the devil) and the new is for God. That's why the Bible says that we can live it to the full becasue it is for Him and His purpose. The Spirit of God will help us to complete our God given purpose for our New Life.

Your life is not just about yourself but is what you can do for others and for God. Like what I've said, 3 years ago I was challanged in a few areas of my old life and I wanna spend sometime sharing the things that the theif wants to steal from you and the things God want to restore/renew in your life.

Matthew 6:33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

The most important thing in your life is none other than God, seek Him first and all these things (or pillars) will be added to you (having it to the full).

The Pillars of Life

1. The Pillar of Family

This is a very import Pillar of Life, for me this is the first thing (pillar) that was stolen away (in a way) and I have to find somewhere else to live. Thank God that this is also the first pillar God has restored (as it is the most important pillar) after all other pillars were stolen away one by one. Family support is going to be the core support of your life, it will affect your character and self image. Therefore spend quality time with your family, talk things out with love and I believe God will make your family full of His love in His time.

2. The Pillar of Friendship

When almost all of my old friends were stolen away 3 years ago, it's really a time for me to reflect about myself and what I have to change for this pillar in my New Life, being a real friend in my relationship life. (Will share more of this pillar in the later entry) God will restore this pillar through an exisitng faithful friend or a new friend, once you are willing to change for God, He will send the right people to help you and to support your other Pillars of Life too.

3. The Pillar of Creativity

I'm not talking about creative arts or about a job, similar to a job, creativity is similar to a job: to produce, productivity, to create

but the difference is that it is not just a job but a God given mandate to produce something that is unique, that is in yourself. God wants to restore a job, a work to a purpose, a message.

3 years ago I was working at my first full time job and because of all the trials and tribulations I encountered in the Pillars of Life, I felt challanged in this pillar too by doing the routine over and over again but when God step in and gave me a new direction bit by bit, I found my joy/faithfulness in work again with a new unique passion. From that day onwards I never stop visualizing about the new passion that was given to me and has never stop getting excited about this Pillar of Creativity in my New Life!

4. The Pillar of Physcial and Emotional Life

This is also a very important pillar as it will determine how far you will go for The Pillar of Frienship and Creativity!
1 Thessalonians 5:23 [ Blessing and Admonition ] Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

3 years ago I was really really discouraged and that was when I found a hobbie (Jogging) good for the soul and body. Your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit and you gotto maintain it well so that you can hear clearly from the Lord and you will not die before your time. Have enough of rest so that you will have a healthy emotion! The Bible says that we are a living soul and therefore your soul have needs to be fullfilled, it is ok to do something you like just like eating as balance is the key of life.
 
Many people believe the soul consists of the heart and mind,
 
Mark 12:30 And you shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ This is the first commandment.


Therefore do pray in the Holy Spirit often as it is a direct communication with God to build up yourself in the most holy faith to love God more with your heart. Emotions like faith, fear, trauma came from the heart I believe because when someone was shocked, the person will hold the heart and not the mind. (I will share about the mind in the next entry.) Your heart must be constantly filled with the Holy Spirit to have a healthy emotion for God.

Jude 1:20 [ Maintain Your Life with God ] But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit,


Build up your spiritman by praying in the Spirit and let your spirit lead your soul and body. 3 years ago I was really really negative and very often when I prayed in the Spirit, faith will begin to arise in my heart and negative thoughts just stopped coming in. Because your heart emotion will affect your mind and vice versa, therefore you gotto understand/experience the New Life not just by your mind but by your heart!

Proverbs 3:26 For the LORD will be your confidence, And will keep your foot from being caught.

New Life Series 2011: Walk Out Of Your Life

Isaiah 43:19 Behold, I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness And rivers in the desert.

You know back in 2007 close to year end I encountered my wilderness and dessert. God opened a road, a river for me that leads to a New Life and I don't really know what God has installed for me in my New Life.

Still remeber about the New Life Series I shared 3 years ago on 2008? I shared about investing seeds for different aspect of new life and now I say lots of time the returns can be more than what we expect. Right now the seeds have grown in an unexpected way and the direction of new life is much more mature than ever before due to every single seeds planted in New Life back then on 2008.

Sometimes you just need to walk out in faith like Abraham to travel to the promised land without knowing an exact direction and I can assure you it will be exciting and fullfilling! Live a life of no regrets!

New Life Begins

Road to opportunity!

This year I spent my CNY at my homeground! Finally after 3 years of wandering, I'm back home! Most of the time I was drinking Chividori (Dunno if I spelled it correctly) with mixers and watching Starhub free channels. Really enjoyed myself as work can be abit tough recently.

I was transfered to the other section due to lack of manpower and two of us are doing 4 person's job. We are still preservering, we have to... and I really pray that our rescue team will be here soon to help us.

Oh ya.. also just got an update that this year I don't need to go for re-service! So... this year is really a good time for me to go all out for my dream! There will not be any schedule spoiler this year.

One more good thing to update, finally have the chance to serve one bro. Really enjoyed this opportunity, it's indeed it's better to give than to receive! I really believe this will be a great start into something great!

Black Road 8th Anniversary: 2011 Year of Restoration!!!

Firstly I'm gonna give myself a big big clap! Because not many can sustain their blogging habit for 8 years! Man.. thats long! But last month was also a special annivesary with God! 10 years of journey with God! I remember taking my first step of faith and responded to the altar call to receive Christ! I pray that God you will watch over me, that I will put you first in my life.

Last year was a great year taking one step closer to my dream and completed ICT3. Passed my IPPT for the first time with $100 inccentive! Not forgetting my new job and have been working there for more than half a year, everything is good! Thank God for everything!

But I believe this year will be even better, I believe this year I can easily complete ICT4 + a deployment, I believe this year I will be ready for my dream and I believe my walk with God will come to a whole new level!

Indeed I really believe this year will be a year of restoration, where God is blessing me back what I have lost 30 fold, 60 fold, 100 fold! I wish you all the best too! Let's exchange good news soon.

Christmas and New Year 2010

2010... I did something different, Christmas Eve: buffet at kuishino, Christmas Day: watching Christmas drama, Christmas Night: cinema movie "xiao dao siao" and Sunday night: Watching BPL at Marina Bay Sands (Really like the place, what a beautiful place! I'm proud of Singapore.)

Follow by new year eve party! And here I am in the year 2011 and approaching to my blog annivesary again! I'll talk more about my life in my next post. See ya!

This Decmeber 10th Annivesary

This December will be my 10th Annivesary with God. I've been wondering something recently in my life, no matter how much I accomplish will never compare to my relationship with God.

This is a very special year for me, 25th year of this life given from Him and 10 years of walk with Him... I really hope I can know Him more... I still have time and it's never too late, I have lived half of my young adult life and next half of it will be even better with His love. It's always by His love we can be stronger as He gives us the strength to move to greater heights.

This December will be a great month!

25 Years Of Goodness From Him (Love, Hope and Faith)

Last week celebrated our church birthday, yesterday celebrated my birthday (followed by YOG Duty at night) and today our nation's birthday.

1. Love (Church Birthday)

I want to thank every single one of you for your birthday wishes and presents! Year by year I thank God for placing you guys in my life, especially after we celebrated our church 21st annivesary! The main theme in the annivesary was love and right now I just feel more thankful for you guys than ever before, it's not easy to have faithful friends like you guys!

2. Hope (Singapore's Birthday)

Indeed like what we sing in the theme song for NDP 2010 (Song For Singapore),

"Come together everybody, Fly the flag and share our story, live our wildest dreams."

Let's come together as brothers and sisters flying our flag and share our story that we dare to live our wildest dreams! Let's encourage one another to live our dreams and really do something we really like, nothing is too difficult if we believe! Don't wait till you get old and said like how you hope you did this and that when you were young but let's live it and become an inspiration to the youth!

3. Faith (My Birthday)

Celebrated my 25th year of life, bittersweet and fruitful but I know that greatest things have yet to come as I know that His hand is always with me, I can feel it in these years and I know that in the next 25 years is going to get even better and better! In these few years I know and I'm expecting miracles to happen again and again until it overflows to every single one of you! I want to be a blessing to you guys as my dear friends, relatives and family members! I really do! I will surely make it through Him!
